It was quite a sight seeing him leaving Rio Ferdinand for dead. He looked deceptively slow. I noticed that his head is always up when he receives the ball. He simply doesn't need to as the ball always sticks to him. He turns defender inside out and very nimble despite being a six-footer. And I haven't started yet about his passing.

Manchester United v Real Madrid, Champions League Quarter Final 2003 Quite easily the best football match I have ever watched. The fat Ronaldo scored a hat-trick, but United scored 4 and was still knocked out. A vast array of Galacticos were on show. The great Zinedine was simply majestic. Chubby Ronaldo was fast despite his chubbiness. Luis Figo is quite good at taking corners. Beckham looked like a big girl. But the star of the show was the referred, the unmistakable Pierluigi Collina. Picutre taken about an hour before kick-off, before the players came on for their warm-up. In my Veron shirt of course.
