090518 After Badminton
The guy in white on the left - Rocky - was my badminton partner in school from 20 years back. He used to be in the 'in' crowd, which means hanging around the 'Rock Kapak' gangs. He is now a teacher, but still retains his habit from school - smoking! We were discussing internet internet services, specifically why are they so slow. Heavy stuff!
The venue for makan tonight was the the 'Mal Mubarak Bistro' at the Rampai Business Centre, a new business area near Taman Seri Rampai. The Mee Ladna was not great but the Char Kuey Teow was apparently OK! When you ask for the bill, one of the senior waiter will count the sums out loud in some incomprehensible language, then suddenly comes out with the total. I'm not sure if the sum was right or not. I should have asked him to recount, but then again he might come up with a more expensive bill!
